That's the way it is I guess. There's really nothing to expect from the big Israeli portals or commercial companies as far as the so-called "Web2.0" trend is concerned. They're being lead by designers that are far behind the net's latest trends. Actually, your projects are much more exciting than Cellcom's latest try.
